CAT COAT CARE CANNOT BE RUSHED.
Cat grooming in District 7 should begin with the cat's temperament and actual coat condition. A cat used to home brushing, a cat with mats close to the skin and a cat leaving home for the first time cannot be handled as one standard booking. ChinoSalon asks about the carrier, reactions to paw or belly handling, previous grooming and the areas causing concern before confirming a visit.
Cats may show stress by crouching, panting, growling, struggling or searching for a hiding place. The goal is therefore not to complete every requested action at any cost. Bathing, nail trimming, ear hygiene, brushing or coat trimming are assessed against the cat's response. If a part is no longer appropriate, the team should discuss that with the owner rather than force completion.
ChinoPet is located at 72 Tran Trong Cung in District 7. Send coat photos, close-ups of mats and relevant health information with your enquiry. Grooming covers hygiene and coat care; it does not diagnose or treat skin disease. Wounds, inflammation, suspected parasites or a change in health should be discussed with the veterinarian already caring for your cat.
FOUR THINGS TO TELL US FIRST.
Temperament and history
Tell us whether your cat tolerates strangers, bathing, drying, belly brushing, tail handling or nail trims. A specific description is more useful than a general statement that the cat is calm.
Where the coat is matted
Photograph the neck, armpits, belly, hind legs or tail where clumps are present. Do not pull tight mats or cut them with household scissors because cat skin can sit very close beneath the coat.
Current health
Share age, underlying conditions, medication, recent vaccination context and skin or ear changes. Grooming is not veterinary diagnosis, and a cat may need medical assessment before a normal salon booking can be accepted.
Safe transport
Bring your cat in a secure carrier, with a familiar-smelling cloth if that already helps your cat. Do not carry a loose cat from the vehicle because an unfamiliar sound or place can trigger an escape response.
THE PROCESS FOLLOWS THE CAT'S RESPONSE.
The ChinoSpa process groups familiarisation, hygiene, bathing, drying, brushing and finishing actions. For a cat, scope is agreed beforehand and reassessed during the visit; completing a checklist is never more important than the cat's condition.
01 · Discuss first
Coat photos, matting, weight, age, grooming history and known reactions are reviewed before ChinoPet confirms acceptance.
02 · Settle into the space
The cat is given time to observe. The carrier is not opened in a rush, and the approach changes in response to body-language signals.
03 · Check the coat
The team assesses mats and visible skin, then explains if the original request needs to change. Coat length cannot be promised when mats lie tight against the skin.
04 · Hygiene and bathing
Nails, ears, brushing, bathing or cleaning are performed only within the agreed scope and while they remain appropriate for the cat's response.
05 · Dry and finish
Drying, brushing and trimming are selected for the coat and the cat's tolerance. The session may be shortened if stress increases.
06 · Collection notes
The owner is told what was completed, what had to stop and what should be monitored at home. Health concerns should be taken to a veterinarian.

Preparing the journey removes avoidable surprises before grooming even begins.
- Use a secure, fully latched carrier with your contact details.
- Add a familiar towel or liner if your cat already responds well to it.
- Do not give sedatives yourself; medication must follow veterinary direction.
- Send photos of mats, skin concerns or the trim you want to discuss.
- Tell us when your cat last ate and whether travel sickness has happened before.
- Arrive at the confirmed time to reduce waiting in an unfamiliar environment.

Can you accept a cat that has never been bathed?
Tell us that this is the first visit and describe reactions to brushing, nail trims and travel. ChinoPet can only confirm an appropriate scope after reviewing the information and the cat's real response; every requested action cannot be guaranteed in advance.
Can you shave all mats on request?
Clipping or trimming depends on mat location, skin condition and the cat's response. Mats close to skin carry specific risks and need an in-person check. Visible wounds or skin disease may require the grooming session to stop for veterinary advice.
Does ChinoPet sedate cats for grooming?
This grooming page does not promise or instruct sedation. Owners should never give medication on their own. Any medical decision must be made by a veterinarian in the appropriate clinical context.
Can a cat with ringworm or inflamed skin use the spa?
Tell us before booking and seek veterinary assessment first. Grooming does not treat skin disease, and some conditions may not be suitable for a standard salon visit. ChinoPet will discuss acceptance before confirming the date.
Can international residents book in English?
